Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.5.2.1.3 - Generate Ideas

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Study design specifications and use them as a guide to generate at least three possible ideas using freehand sketches.
  2. Write short notes describing each of the three generated ideas, explaining how each meets the user requirements.
  3. Compare each generated idea against the design specifications to check that all requirements are satisfied.
  4. Present their ideas clearly in a logical order, describing each option with enough detail for a classmate to understand.
  5. Use appropriate design vocabulary (specification, user requirements, evaluation, constraint) accurately in their written notes.
