Learning Objectives
Indicator: B1.4.12.1.1 - Use words and simple sentences to describe self
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and say at least 5 descriptive words that tell about themselves (e.g., name, age, colour of skin, height, likes).
- Answer simple questions about themselves using complete sentences, such as “My name is Kwame” and “I am six years old.”
- Write 2 to 3 simple sentences describing themselves using descriptive words taught in the lesson.
- Read aloud their own written description to a partner or the class.
- Listen to a partner’s self-description and repeat one thing they learned about that partner.

- Model describing yourself in 2-3 simple sentences using simple descriptive words. - Write some descriptive words and discuss them with learners. - Through questions, have pairs of learners describe themselves to each other. e.g. What is your name? - My name is.................... How old are you? - I am ............................... - Assist learners to write out their sentences.
