Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.4.2.1.1 - Écouter, comprendre et réagir à une conversation dans laquelle l’on demande ou donne l’itinéraire (Réception orale / Compréhension de l’oral)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and distinguish key direction vocabulary (tournez, continuez, traversez, prenez, passez) when heard in an audio dialogue about asking for and giving directions.
Match spoken directional phrases (la première rue à droite, le deuxième feu, le carrefour) to the correct location on a simple city map.
Respond accurately to comprehension questions (true/false, short answer) after listening to a dialogue where someone asks for and receives directions in French.
Demonstrate auditory discrimination by identifying words such as gauche, droite, pont, rue, and feu when presented with similar-sounding distractors.
State the key places in a town (l’hôpital, la banque, le marché, la gare, le parc) and the imperative verb forms used in giving directions, after listening to the model dialogue.
