Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.4.8.2.1 - Poser et répondre à des questions sur la position d’une personne ou d’un objet.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Ask the question “Où se trouve…?” (Where is…?) to find out the position of a person or an object.
Answer questions about position using the structure “se trouve” followed by a preposition of place (devant, derrière, sur, sous, dans, à côté de).
State the position of a person in relation to an object in the classroom, for example “Ama se trouve devant le tableau.”
Apply correct word order in questions and answers about position, placing the subject before the verb “se trouve.”
Use at least five prepositions of place correctly when speaking about positions of people and objects.

This lesson builds on the listening work from B4.4.8.1.1 (Term 3, Week 9), where learners heard and noted positions from audiovisual material. It focuses on oral production only. Writing positions (B4.4.8.4.1) and giving directions to public places (B4.4.8.3.1) come in later weeks.
