Lesson notes

Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.3.1.8 - Demonstrate data interpretation by computing data to gain required information (e.g. Finding sum or grand total using Electronic Spreadsheet).

  2. Compute sums and grand totals from given data using addition and an electronic spreadsheet formula (e.g. =SUM(A1:A5)).
  3. Interpret the results of their calculations to answer questions such as “What is the total?” or “Which item has the highest value?”
  4. Use a simple table in an electronic spreadsheet to arrange data before performing calculations.
