Indicator: B6.1.3.1.5 - Demonstrate how to manage users of the Desktop

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain what a user account is and why managing users on a Desktop computer is important for security and privacy.
  2. Identify the different types of user accounts commonly found on a Desktop computer (Administrator and Standard).
  3. Demonstrate the steps to create a new user account on a Desktop computer through a class demonstration.
  4. Demonstrate how to switch between different user accounts on a Desktop computer.
  5. Apply the principles of user management to solve a simple classroom problem, such as protecting one learner’s work from being changed by another.
