Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.1.3.1.7 - Demonstrate the use of the tools for collecting data.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least four common tools used for collecting data (case studies, interviews, checklists, questionnaires, observations).
  2. Explain the purpose of each data collection tool and when it is most appropriate to use it.
  3. Demonstrate how to use an interview checklist to collect data from a partner.
  4. Create a simple checklist for collecting data on a familiar topic.
  5. Compare tools for collecting data and justify which tool suits a given situation.
