Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.1.3.1.5 - Demonstrate basic calculations on sample data e.g. arranging and summing and averaging data.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Arrange a given set of sample data in ascending and descending order.
- Add (sum) a set of sample data accurately using mental maths and written methods.
- Find the average (mean) of a set of sample data by dividing the sum by the number of items.
- Present their calculated findings (sum and average) clearly to the class using simple tables.
- Use the correct vocabulary: data, arrange, sort, sum, total, average, mean.
