Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.1.3.1.5 - Demonstrate basic calculations on sample data e.g. sum, percentage, average etc.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Add a set of sample data values to find the sum and state the answer correctly.
Calculate the average (mean) of a set of sample data by dividing the sum by the number of values.
Express one quantity as a percentage of another quantity using the formula (part ÷ whole) × 100.
Apply sum, average and percentage calculations to data collected from their own school or home environment.
Communicate their calculation results clearly to classmates, explaining the steps they followed.
