Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.1.3.LI.2 - Identify at least 3 Types of Network Systems

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Define a network system and recall the basic components they met in the previous lesson (nodes, links, data).
Identify by name at least three types of network systems: Local Area Network (LAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN).
Give at least one key feature of each of the three network types, including typical geographic coverage and a familiar example.
Recognise visual representations (diagrams or maps) of LAN, MAN, and WAN and correctly label each one.
Recall real-world examples of each network type found in Ghana, such as a school computer lab, a city-wide network in Kumasi, and a network connecting Accra to London.
