Learning Objectives

Indicator: B6.6.6.1.5 - Show how to set cookies demonstrate the steps in turning on cookies in a browser.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define what a cookie is in simple terms and explain its purpose in a web browser.
  2. List the steps to turn on cookies in a browser using the Tools menu and Internet Options.
  3. Identify the Privacy tab and the Advanced settings section within a browser’s options.
  4. Locate and select the checkbox for “Always allow session cookies” through guided practice.
  5. Demonstrate the complete process of enabling session cookies on a browser with minimal assistance.

1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options and enable session cookies, click the Privacy tab.
2. From the Settings section of the tab, click Advanced.
