Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.2.3.1.2

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Describe the physical characteristics (colour, texture, smell, particle size and moisture content) of at least two organic and two inorganic plant nutrient sources.
  2. Explain how the physical structure and appearance of each nutrient source affects the way it is applied to plants in the field.
  3. Demonstrate the correct method of applying at least one organic and one inorganic nutrient source to plants, following the teacher’s guidance.
  4. Justify why certain nutrient sources are applied at particular times of the crop growth cycle based on their physical characteristics.
