Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.3.4.2.2 - Show awareness and appreciation of points of view of a literary narration and characterisation.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify who speaks in a literary passage and to whom they speak.
- Describe how a character’s words and actions reveal their personality and standpoint.
- State the point of view (first person, second person or third person) from which a narrative is told.
- Express their own reaction to characters and events in a passage and justify that reaction with evidence from the text.
- Make a distinct judgement about the viewpoints expressed in a narrative, comparing the perspectives of different characters.
