Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.3.4.2.3 - Recognise the similarities between Arabian and Ghanaian cultures. أوجو التشابه بين العادات الغانية والعربية وتقاليدها
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least four cultural values shared by Arabian and Ghanaian societies from a given reading passage.
- Match Arabic vocabulary for cultural values (family, respect, honour, hospitality) with their meanings in both Arabic and English.
- Compare how the importance of family is shown in Arabian and Ghanaian daily life using examples from the passage and their own experience.
- Explain how respect for the elderly and honour for traditional rulers appear in both cultures, giving one example for each.
- Use the Arabic phrases learnt in this lesson to create a short spoken or written comparison of hospitality practices in the two cultures.
