Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.1.3.1.2 - Demonstrate understanding of the design process in relation to creativity and innovations in design.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define the design process and list its seven main steps in the correct order: define, brief, research, ideation, invent, prototype, testing, refine.
- Explain the importance of each step in the design process using a real product example from their environment.
- Analyse a given product and match its features to the design process steps that produced it.
- Evaluate a familiar Ghanaian product and suggest at least two modifications to solve a different problem in society.
- Justify why the design process helps turn creative ideas into successful innovations.
