Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.1.3.1.1 - Distinguish between creativity and innovation and their application for developing design solutions to problems in society.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define creativity and innovation in their own words and state at least two clear differences between the two concepts.
- Classify given design products or artefacts as examples of creativity, innovation, or both, with reasons for their classification.
- Identify a common problem in their local community and propose at least one creative idea and one innovative solution to address it.
- Examine a local artefact and report on one design challenge associated with it during a short class discussion.
