  2. Write a parallel poem of four or five lines on a chosen topic, following the structure of a model poem read in class.
  3. Illustrate their own four- or five-line poem with a drawing that matches the words and mood.
  4. Exchange poems with another group, give kind and useful feedback on each other’s work, and edit their own poem based on that feedback.
  5. Present their illustrated poem to the class with clear voice and confidence, and respond politely to classmates’ reactions.
