Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.2.2.1.2 - Plan and display artworks that reflect the influence of a range of different times, cultures and topical issues
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and list the key components of an art exhibition plan, including venue, target audience, finance, publicity and the peculiarities of the artworks to be displayed.
- Prepare a simple exhibition proposal for a selected collection of artworks that reflects specific times, cultures and topical issues.
- Work in groups to assign tasks and collaboratively plan a mini exhibition using the artworks produced in Week 8.
- Display their artworks following a laid-out plan, paying attention to labelling, arrangement, lighting and accessibility.
- Present a short report comparing the similarities and differences in how artworks from different times and cultures are preserved and exhibited.
