By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain what it means to conserve energy and why conservation is important for humans and other life forms.
  2. Identify at least four everyday practices that conserve energy in the home, school, and community.
  3. Describe how conserving energy today helps preserve resources for future use.
  4. Demonstrate through discussion and writing how energy conservation benefits both people and the environment.
  5. Evaluate simple scenarios and decide whether energy is being conserved or wasted, giving reasons for their judgement.
