Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.1.6.2.1 - Maintain appropriate posture and facial expression

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Explain why appropriate posture and facial expression matter in a conversation.
  • Demonstrate attentive posture (sitting upright, leaning slightly forward, facing the speaker) during a conversation.
  • Use appropriate facial expressions (smiling, nodding, raised eyebrows for surprise, concerned look for sad news) to show they are listening and understanding.
  • Observe a partner’s posture and facial expressions during a conversation and give kind, helpful feedback.
  • Apply these skills while discussing familiar topics about themselves, their family, and their community.
