Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.1.6.3.2 - Demonstrate turn taking in conversation on different topics and speak audibly, and express thoughts and feelings clearly
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain what turn taking means in a conversation and why it is important.
- Demonstrate turn taking by waiting for a partner to finish speaking before they respond.
- Speak audibly and clearly when sharing their thoughts and feelings on a given topic.
- Express their own thoughts and feelings about a topic using complete sentences during a pair or group conversation.
- Use simple phrases such as “May I add something?” and “What do you think?” to manage their turn in a conversation.
