Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.1.1.1.2 - Ask questions that link the ideas of several speakers and respond to others’ questions in a discussion
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify open-ended question stems that link the ideas of two or more speakers in a discussion.
- Use open-ended questions to connect what one speaker has said to the views of earlier speakers.
- Listen attentively to several speakers and summarise their different viewpoints accurately.
- Respond appropriately to questions asked by other speakers during a group discussion.
- Participate in a small-group discussion on a given topic using questions that show they have followed the thread of the conversation.
