Indicator: B2.1.6.2.2 - Ask and answer questions for clarifications about what other people say
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State the rules of turn-taking in conversation and explain why they matter.
- Identify phrases and question words used to ask for clarification when they do not understand someone.
- Ask at least two clarification questions in response to a partner’s statement during a short conversation.
- Answer clarification questions by repeating or rephrasing their own words clearly.
- Use polite and appropriate language when asking for or giving clarification in a conversation.
