Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.6.3.LI.1 - Discuss the consumer responsibilities in choosing sustainable and eco-friendly products, as well as proper product recycling
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define sustainable and eco-friendly products and explain why consumer choices matter for the nation.
- Identify at least five practical ways consumers can choose sustainable and eco-friendly products in their daily lives.
- Explain the consumer responsibility of proper product recycling and describe how recycling works for common materials such as plastics, glass, paper and e-waste.
- Analyse a given purchasing scenario and justify which product choice is more sustainable, using reasoning based on environmental and national impact.
- Demonstrate awareness of the link between consumer choices and national development, including reduced waste and protection of Ghana’s natural resources.
