Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.6.3.LI.2 - Discuss the meaning, importance of consumer protection and how the consumer can be protected in Ghana

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain the meaning of consumer protection in their own words, using at least one Ghanaian example.
  2. Discuss at least four reasons why consumer protection is important for individuals and society in Ghana.
  3. Identify and describe at least five ways a consumer can be protected, including information transparency, warranties, privacy protection, and consumer education.
  4. Apply critical thinking to evaluate a real-life consumer scenario and suggest appropriate protection measures.
  5. Communicate their understanding of consumer protection effectively through group discussion and presentations.
