Indicator: B9.2.3.3.6 - Create and perform a one act play or dance based on your selected African creative work (dance/drama)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Transform the ideas and themes from their selected African creative work into a clear storyline or dance concept for a one act performance.
Work in groups to divide rehearsal tasks into manageable units, assign roles, and follow a rehearsal schedule.
Rehearse a one act play or dance that reflects the history, culture, and topical issues drawn from their selected African creative work.
Perform their one act play or dance before the class, demonstrating coordination, expression, and commitment to their assigned roles.
Record the performance and briefly appraise their own group’s work against simple performance criteria.
