Indicator: B9.2.3.3.6 - Create and perform a one act play or dance based on your selected African creative work (dance/drama)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Transform the ideas and themes from their selected African creative work into a clear storyline or dance concept for a one act performance.
- Work in groups to divide rehearsal tasks into manageable units, assign roles, and follow a rehearsal schedule.
- Rehearse a one act play or dance that reflects the history, culture, and topical issues drawn from their selected African creative work.
- Perform their one act play or dance before the class, demonstrating coordination, expression, and commitment to their assigned roles.
- Record the performance and briefly appraise their own group’s work against simple performance criteria.
