Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.2.3.3.7 - Organise a group discussion to appreciate dance and/or plays of own and other cultures, environment and topical issues.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Organise a group discussion using agreed rules and roles to analyse a dance or drama performance from their own culture or another culture.
- Identify at least three topical issues, environmental concerns, or cultural values reflected in a viewed dance or drama performance.
- Express and defend personal viewpoints about a performance while respectfully listening to and evaluating the viewpoints of others.
- Document the key findings of the group discussion using a simple note-taking format (e.g., a discussion chart or graphic organiser).
- Present a short oral summary of the group’s collective appreciation of the performance to the whole class.
