Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.7.1.1.7 - Talk about the colours of the flags of other countries and other art work and music that they have.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name at least three colours found on the flags of other countries (for example, the flag of Nigeria, France, and China).
- Identify and point to the flag of Ghana among the flags of other countries and say what makes it special.
- Talk simply about a piece of art work or craft from another country, such as a Russian doll or an African mask, describing its colours.
- Listen to a short piece of music from another country and express how it makes them feel (happy, excited, calm) using words or body movements.
- Use colourful materials to create a simple flag or art work of their own and talk about the colours they chose.

Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
Learners study the flags of other countries and design different maps for the classroom. The classroom should be set up as an international classroom with different centres exhibiting different clothes and food item. Provide learners with colourful materials, colourful papers, colourful clothes, to wear representing different countries. Assist learners to use music and drama to demonstrate how the various countries dance.
