Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.3.2.1.1 - Examine the relevance of peace and security to the development of Ghana.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define peace and security in their own words and distinguish between the two concepts.
  2. Explain at least four ways in which peace and security contribute to Ghana’s national development.
  3. Analyse the consequences of conflict and insecurity on Ghana’s economy, social life, and governance.
  4. Identify practical actions individuals and communities can take to promote peace and security in Ghana.
