Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.3.1.1.1 - Discuss types of e-commerce and the cashless society (Bitcoin, Transaction cards, Quick Response code (QR) payment system)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define e-commerce and identify at least three types of e-commerce based on who is involved in the transaction.
- Explain what a cashless society means and give at least two examples of cashless payment methods used in Ghana.
- Describe how Bitcoin works as a digital currency and state one advantage and one disadvantage of using it.
- Demonstrate how to use a QR code payment system by explaining the steps involved in making a payment with a QR code.
- Compare transaction cards (MasterCard, Visa) and mobile money as cashless payment options, noting one similarity and one difference.
