Indicator: B8.3.1.1.1 - Describe the data communication models for networks.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Explain the Open System Interconnection (OSI) model as a reference framework for how data travels across a network.
Identify all seven layers of the OSI model in their correct order, from Physical layer to Application layer.
Describe the function of at least four major layers (Physical, Data Link, Network, Transport, Application) using simple everyday comparisons.
Discuss at least two benefits of dividing network communication into layers, including how it enables different hardware devices from different manufacturers to work together.
Demonstrate group cooperation skills by working in teams to model how data moves through the OSI layers from one device to another.
