Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.1.2.LI.2 - Describe the categories of Computer Hardware

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and name the five categories of computer hardware: input, processing, output, storage, and communication devices.
  2. Classify given hardware devices into their correct categories with at least 90% accuracy.
  3. Explain the function of each category of computer hardware in their own words.
  4. Justify why a particular device belongs to a specific category, considering devices that may belong to more than one category.
  5. Present and defend their classification of hardware devices to peers, giving reasons for their choices and responding respectfully to feedback.
