Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.2.2.LI.3 - Apply preventive measures on physical safety risks (Increase the number of wall sockets and do not use too many extension blocks)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least five preventive measures for physical safety risks in the use and handling of computers, including increasing wall sockets and limiting extension blocks.
Explain why using too many extension blocks increases the risk of electrocution, fire hazards, and damage to computer equipment.
Demonstrate proper cable management techniques for a computer workstation.
Evaluate a given computer workstation setup (real or described) and recommend at least three specific preventive measures to reduce physical safety risks.
Create a simple safety checklist for a school computer laboratory or home computer setup, justifying each item on the list.
