Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.4.1.2.1 - Faire oralement des calculs mentaux simples
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Say and recognise number words from 1 to 100 in French (un, deux, trois, … soixante-dix, quatre-vingts, cent) with correct pronunciation.
- Perform simple oral addition and subtraction calculations (totals up to 100) entirely in French, responding quickly and accurately.
- Ask and answer simple oral arithmetic questions using complete French sentences, such as “Combien font sept et huit?” and “Ça fait quinze.”
- Solve simple oral word problems set in everyday situations, giving the answer in a full French sentence.
- Use the French expressions “Combien font…?”, “Ça fait…”, “plus”, “moins”, “égal” correctly during pair and group mental maths games.
