Indicator: B9.1.1.2.2
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and pronounce correctly at least five key vocabulary items from an Arabic football commentary, including ضربة ركنية (corner kick) and حارس مرمى (goalkeeper).
- Visualise the scenes described in an Arabic sports commentary and describe in their own words what is happening in the match.
- Match Arabic commentary phrases to the correct images or scenes from a football match.
- Respond orally to questions about a short Arabic commentary, showing understanding of who is playing, what is happening, and where the action takes place.
- Create a simple mental picture of a match scene from a spoken Arabic commentary and retell it in either Arabic or a mix of Arabic and English.
