Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.1.1.1.4 - Show ability to follow and understand a variety of spoken discourse between two or several participants.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the main topic of a spoken discourse between two or more participants and state its purpose in Arabic.
  2. Extract related ideas and supporting details from a multi-speaker dialogue on a given topic.
  3. Distinguish between different speakers’ viewpoints in a conversation and summarise the overall message.
  4. Answer comprehension questions in Arabic on a dialogue involving two or more speakers.
  5. Reproduce the main points of a heard discourse in their own words, both orally and in writing.
