Indicator: B9.2.1.1.1 - Read a variety of grade level texts and demonstrate understanding
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Set at least one specific learning purpose before reading a text, and state it clearly in their own words.
- Read a grade-level passage aloud or silently with reasonable fluency and accuracy.
- Answer literal, inferential and evaluative questions based on the text.
- Apply at least two reading strategies (skimming, scanning, predicting, questioning) to locate and understand information in a text.
- Identify the main idea and supporting details of a passage and express them in their own words.
