Indicator: B5.2.7.2.2 - Relate two or more ideas in a text
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify two or more separate ideas or events in a given text.
- Explain how two ideas in a text are connected (for example, cause and effect, time order, or shared theme).
- Connect an idea from a text to a personal experience or memory.
- Relate an idea from one text to an idea in a different text read earlier in the term.
- Use sentence frames such as “This reminds me of…” and “This idea connects to… because…” to express relationships between ideas.
