Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.2.7.2.2 - Make connections between a text and personal experiences/real life.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain what it means to connect a text to their own life and experiences.
- Answer applicative questions that link characters and events in a text to situations they have seen or experienced.
- Share a personal opinion or viewpoint about a text and support it with a reason from their own life.
- Use sentence starters such as “This reminds me of…”, “In my experience…”, and “I agree/disagree because…” to express connections during discussion.
- Identify at least one similarity between an event in a reading text and a real-life situation in their community.
