Indicator: B3.2.7.2.3 - Use visualisation strategy (form mental images when reading text) to enhance understanding of level-appropriate texts
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain what visualisation means in their own words, using at least one example from a familiar experience.
- Form clear mental images of characters, settings and actions while reading or listening to a level-appropriate text.
- Draw or describe a mental picture they formed from a given passage and connect it to the text’s meaning.
- Use visualisation to answer simple comprehension questions about a short story or poem.
- Work in pairs to share and compare their mental images, showing that different readers may picture the same text differently.
