Indicator: B3.2.7.1.2 - Ask and answer factual, inferential and vocabulary questions about level-appropriate texts

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Ask and answer factual questions that have answers directly stated in a text.
  2. Ask and answer inferential questions by using clues in the text plus their own knowledge.
  3. Identify and explain the meaning of unfamiliar words in a text using context clues.
  4. Formulate at least one question of each type (factual, inferential, vocabulary) about a given passage.
  5. Respond to both teacher-led and peer questions about a shared reading text with increasing confidence.
