Learning Objectives
Indicator: B2.2.7.1.3 - Retell level-appropriate texts in own words
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Retell a familiar story in their own words, keeping the main events in the correct order.
- Use a simple herring-bone diagram to organise the main parts of a story (characters, setting, events, ending).
- Identify and use their own words instead of copying the exact words from the story when retelling.
- Retell a short story to a partner with a clear beginning, middle and end.
- Listen to a partner’s retelling and say one thing they did well and one thing to improve.
