Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.4.2.2.1 - Show writing skills in a targeted text format, such as prose, poetry and drama

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the three main types of essays in Arabic (expository, persuasive, and narrative) and state their purposes.
  2. Write a short expository essay in Arabic about a familiar topic using at least two facts or examples to support their main idea.
  3. Write a short persuasive essay in Arabic that presents facts and includes at least one convincing reason to support their point of view.
  4. Organise their ideas in a clear order (introduction, body, conclusion) in their written compositions.
  5. Use appropriate Arabic connectives (مثل، لأن، لذلك، أيضا) to link ideas and details in their writing.
