Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.4.2.1.1 - Show writing skill in simple compositions, including a dialogue, formal and informal essays.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the key features of an informal essay in Arabic, including context, sentence variety, language, voice, interjections, personal pronoun, and tone.
  2. Distinguish between formal and informal style in short Arabic passages.
  3. Plan a 100-word informal essay on a given topic by brainstorming ideas and organising them.
  4. Write a 100-word informal essay in Arabic that uses appropriate personal pronouns, interjections, and a conversational tone.
  5. Review a peer’s informal essay and give feedback on tone and language using a simple checklist.
