Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.4.2.1.3 - Demonstrate the ability to fill in appropriate words to complete grammatically correct short phrases or sentences.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Read a short Arabic sentence with a blank space and identify what type of word is missing (noun, verb, or adjective) based on context clues.
- Select the correct word from a given word bank to complete a phrase or sentence with proper grammatical agreement (gender and number).
- Fill in the blank in at least 6 out of 8 sentences correctly without referring to the word bank.
- Justify their word choice by explaining, in simple terms, why the selected word fits grammatically (e.g., masculine/feminine agreement, singular/plural matching).
- Apply the skill of contextual guessing to complete familiar sentences about the school environment, home life, and daily activities.
This lesson builds directly on the spelling knowledge from Week 9 (Indicator B7.4.2.1.2) and prepares learners for Week 10’s next indicator (B7.4.2.1.4), where they will form their own phrases. The current lesson focuses specifically on completing given sentences with appropriate words, not yet on creating new sentences from scratch.
