Indicator: B8.1.1.2.1 - Explore the use of the Charms bar

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify the five Charms bar icons (Search, Share, Start, Devices, Settings) and state where the Charms bar is located on the screen.
Describe the function of each Charms bar icon in their own words.
Demonstrate how to open the Charms bar using both mouse and keyboard methods.
Practise using at least two Charms bar icons to perform simple tasks, such as searching for a file or adjusting settings.
Explain how the Charms bar helps users find and use digital content quickly, linking to the Digital Literacy competency DL5.3.
