By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify full-sized external hard drives, portable hard drives, and optical discs (CD, DVD, Blu-ray) by sight and name.
- Explain hard drive speed in terms of revolutions per minute (RPM) and how it affects performance.
- Describe disk caching and why it helps the computer work faster.
- Distinguish between read-only, recordable, and rewritable optical discs, and state their storage capacities.
