Indicator: B7.1.1.2.2 - Practise file management techniques (file & folder management, Users & Accounts)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Create, rename, and organise files and folders on a Windows computer using proper naming conventions.
- Explain the purpose and importance of file extensions and identify at least five common ones (e.g., .docx, .jpg, .mp3, .pdf, .xlsx).
- Describe the different user account levels on a Windows computer system (Administrator, Standard User, Guest) and their permissions.
- Demonstrate how file and folder permissions control what different users can view, edit, or delete.
- Apply file management techniques to organise digital files into folders and subfolders in a practical scenario.
