Indicator: 1.1.3.LI.2 - Discuss the classification of human disease
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- classify human diseases into at least four major categories based on their causes and characteristics
- give at least two examples of diseases for each major classification category
- explain the difference between communicable and non-communicable diseases using local and international examples
- distinguish between acute and chronic diseases, and between hereditary and lifestyle-related diseases, with relevant examples
- create a concept map or chart that organises the major classifications of human diseases in a clear, logical structure
