Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.3.4.LI.2 - Apply the concepts, and principles of coaching and officiating in the performance of net games.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Demonstrate the application of coaching concepts such as observation, feedback, and motivation during a simulated net game practice session.
  2. Apply officiating principles including rule enforcement, positioning, and whistle control while managing a practice match.
  3. Execute effective communication techniques (verbal and non-verbal signals) as both coach and official during role-play scenarios.
  4. Analyse and provide respectful, constructive feedback to peers on their coaching and officiating performance using established criteria.
  5. Transfer coaching and officiating principles from one net game (e.g., volleyball) to another (e.g., badminton or table tennis) during game performance.
